GITA expands into Canada and the Caribbean

The Global IT Alliance (GITA) is expanding its footprint in North and Central America. The Canadian IT service provider Compugen and Caribbean Microsoft specialist Inova Solutions are the newest members of the international partner network, which was co-founded by Bechtle. Based in Richmond Hill, Canada, Compugen Inc. has over 1,800 employees and in 2020 turned in revenues of more than 630 million dollars. Inova Solutions, which was first established in 2009, today operates from multiple countries in the Caribbean as well as Ecuador. The company’s staff of 40 have achieved revenues in 2020 of some 39 million dollars.

The two IT providers expand GITA’s reach into North and Central America by no less than six additional countries—including Canada, the second largest country and one of the most significant national economies in the world.

“We are very pleased to be welcoming Compugen and Inova Solutions to the GITA network. Both companies are a strong cultural fit and will give Bechtle and our GITA partners additional reach across regions, where many of our customers already have or are establishing an International presence,” says James Napp, Managing Director of Bechtle direct UK and Bechtle’s ambassador to the Global IT Alliance.

“I’m thrilled to have Compugen and Inova Solutions join the Alliance. In our quest to provide an exceptional customer experience globally, adding the premiere Canadian IT solutions provider and an outstanding digitalisation expert in the Caribbean is a natural fit. Both companies exhibit the very best characteristics of what our Alliance offers to the global IT marketplace—true global solutions, every time in every place,” says Emery Geosits, GITA Executive Director.

Compugen in Canada.
Compugen Inc. is one of Canada’s largest IT service providers. The company offers clients in the enterprise and public sectors extensive support ranging from design, to procurement and integration all the way to the operation of cutting-edge IT solutions and as-a-service models. Founded in 1981, Compugen is a top partner of numerous leading IT manufacturers and maintains twelve sites in North America.

“We are delighted to announce our partnership with Global IT Alliance and to be named as one of their North American partners. Our core purpose at Compugen is to realize new possibilities for our customers and transform their business through technology. By joining the Alliance, we are now able to expand our reach and work with organizations looking for expert IT guidance and support in our region, while ensuring that geography does not get in the way of the work that they do. This is a very exciting opportunity for us and we are looking forward to delivering the same level of customer experience that the Compugen brand is renowned for,” says Terry Mirza, Chief Sales and Marketing Officer, Compugen.

Inova Solutions in the Caribbean.
A multi-award-winning Microsoft Gold Partner, Inova Solutions is among the manufacturer’s most capable partners in the Caribbean. The IT service provider’s portfolio spans the entire lifecycle of cloud-driven Microsoft solutions, including consulting, licensing, training and support services. Headquartered in Curaçao, the company has additional offices in Jamaica, Puerto Rico, Trinidad and Tobago, as well as Ecuador.

“Seeing as we operated in the entire Caribbean region, we are used to crossing borders and going above and beyond to serve our clients. But we need to start to think globally not only regional. Through the Global IT Alliance we can. For example, by partnering with the members of the GITA and helping their customers with offices they might have in the Caribbean. Also, the other way around, we traditionally have a lot of customers in our region, with HQ’s in Europe, that we will be able to help through the other members of the GITA,” says Hans Kruithof, Managing Director at Inova Solutions.

The network’s previously established members in the Americas include Agilant (USA), Compucentro (Mexico) and Microware (Brazil and other countries). Other GITA members are Bechtle (Europe), Data#3 (Australia), Dynacons (India), as well as HKBN JOS (Hong Kong, China, Macau, Malaysia, Singapore and other parts of Asia).
