Professional Solutions for the Global Energy Market at CIGRE 2018

LumaSense Technologies provides an innovative  suite of temperature and gas sensing products designed to allow customers to continuously monitor substations, Load Tap Changers (LTCs) and transformers. These products provide early warnings for countermeasures to reduce failures and serious damages.

As the global demand for energy increases, energy generators and providers need asset monitoring to implement “smart” electric grids to allow for production of electricity in a more technologically advanced way.  In order to accomplish this, an increasing number of utilities are installing sensor technology on critical assets to understand how their equipment is performing and detect developing failures.

LumaSense Technologies invites T&D professionals to take a close look at our range of gas and temperature sensing solutions for energy markets that might help them extend the life of their assets:

  • The SmartDGA® System is a cost-effective online monitoring dissolved gas analysis (DGA) solution based on proven non-dispersive infrared (NDIR) technology. This suite of
products is designed for continuous monitoring of the condition of LTCs and transformers.
  • The SF6 Leak Detection System 3731  measures the total concentration of the SF6 gas in an enclosed area of a GIS Substation to determine the leak rate. By accurately measuring the leak rate, utilities can improve quality while decreasing costs and emissions.
  • ThermalSpection 724DV-PT  is an automated, continuous thermal and visual imaging system for remote thermal abnormality and early fault detection within electrical substations and other process control systems.
  • INTRODUCING: LUXTRON Fiber Optic OEM Module for Utilities
The new m924 Utility FOT Module is a cost-effective choice for accurate, real-time transformer winding hot spot monitoring. The module is a four-channel Fiber Optic Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) board for Transformer Winding Hot Spot and Temperature Monitoring, based on proven LUXTRON FOT technology.

LumaSense presents these solutions during the CIGRE Conference & Technical Exhibition in Paris, from August 26-31 at booth #256 on the second floor at Palais de Congrès, Porte Maillot, Paris.

CIGRE, the Council on Large Electric Systems, is an international non-profit association consisting of over 3500 energy experts for promoting collaboration with colleagues from all around the world by sharing knowledge and joining forces to improve electric power systems of today and tomorrow.
