Connect C turns BMZ e-Bike Drive System smart

E-bike system supplier BMZ supports manufacturers on their way of digitalising their product portfolio. Based on connectivity solutions of technology company COMODULE, BMZ has developed a plug-and-play device that enables a seamless communication between the rider and his bike.

BMZ Drive Systems starts a new era of smart e-bikes. Beginning in 2018 manufacturer planning to equip their e-bikes with BMZ e-bike systems can decide whether they want to offer their e-bike with or without BMZ Connect C App. Technically a small hardware device integrated in the system architecture provides an interface between the rider’s smartphone and the e-bike system. It allows to improve the rider’s product experience with features as:

Individualizing system characteristics

Considering different rider behaviours, e-bike factory settings can always be a good compromise only. Therefor COMODULE integrated the possibility to finetune each level of assist according to the rider’s preference into BMZ Connect C App. The new setup is saved in the system so that the bike remembers it also for the next ride.

Integrated Navigation Information

E-bike tours become nicer and safer with BMZ Connect C: The in-app navigation function provides several alternative routes between the rider can choose when planning his tour. On top of that BMZ Connect C app indicates the range of the system taking into consideration the state of charge of the battery and the assist level the rider chose. Getting stuck because a depleted battery should hence become a phenomenon of the past.

Even in case the bike does not work as it is supposed to Connect C App can help to find the problem quicker or simply to contact a service professional right away.

BMZ Connect C is available for all BMZ Drive Systems options including Brose mid-motors.
