Experience Gocator Factorysmart® Sensors at SPS IPC DRIVES 2017

LMI Technologies (LMI), a leading developer of 3D scanning and inspection solutions, is pleased to announce its participation in SPS IPC Drives 2017 in Nuremberg from November 28 – 30, 2017. The show is one of Europe’s most important factory automation technology events, drawing exhibitors and attendees from Germany and across the world.

SPS is a unique opportunity for industry professionals to experience Gocator 3D smart sensors, and immerse themselves in LMI’s innovative FactorySmart® approach to inline automation, inspection and optimization. This approach goes beyond the simple data acquisition of standard sensors to provide a more intelligent solution to the real-world challenges of manufacturing today. Gocator delivers this FactorySmart® promise through a complete, built-in 3D inspection platform that works seamlessly within the factory environment to dramatically improve production, in any industry.

LMI will showcase multiple live product demos, including the Gocator Volume Checker, a new dedicated automotive solution for fast, non-contact 3D volume gauging of engine cylinder heads and piston bowls in small to medium-sized internal combustion engines.
A demo showcasing Gocator’s unique multi-sensor networking capability, and a number of high-speed laser profilers in action will round out the LMI in-booth experience.
Managing Director and Regional Development Manager Christian Benderoth will join the Vision Expert Huddles and give a presentation on how 3D smart sensors can be used effectively for non-contact, high-tolerance inline inspection applications.
“Attendees of SPS can expect an exclusive, inside look at the real-world inspection challenges facing today’s factories, and how Gocator is able to solve these challenges with a range of smart features and functionality for improved automation, inspection and optimization. We invite you to bring your own part to the booth and interact with our technology. You’ll see for yourself how easy Gocator is to use”, said Benderoth.
